Missions Opportunities.
We are a Mission Church. We tithe all offerings to Missions. We serve and develop relationships with the “least of these” whom Jesus called His brothers and sisters, side by side. We partner with vital ministries in Haiti and Honduras, as well as in Charlotte and specifically, the Ballantyne area where we are located.
Ballantyne Backpack Food Program.
Light of Christ, through the BACKPACK Food Program, has been helping children at Ballantyne Elementary School who qualify for free or reduced lunch to get nutritious and easy-to-prepare food they need over the course of the weekend. Bags of food are assembled at Light of Christ and are distributed at the school on Fridays to several children each school year. With your help, we can provide more. The BACKPACK Food Program is impacting the lives of families in need.

Parkview Community Foundation.
Parkview Community Foundation is an after-school program run by Gwendolyn Johnson and her husband, Artis Johnson. The children who are part of this ministry have a safe place with adult supervision after school to complete homework, with tutoring available. They have a safe environment to play and connect with adults who care. All participants are fed a hot dinner after school each day. Parkview Community Foundation also provides a summer day camp for children June through August.

Haiti, OFCB Ministries.
Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. Operation Force for Christ Bayonnais (OFCB) is a ministry dedicated to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ by feeding and educating the children and youth of Bayonnais (Haiti) while developing the community around them.
Light of Christ supports the people of Bayonnais and OFCB Ministries through church-sponsored mission trips and contributions to the Sponsor-A-Child program.
Pray for the people of Bayonnais to overcome political unrest, poverty and starvation. Travel to Bayonnais on a mission trip. Future trips will be identified shortly. Sponsor-A-Child program helps supporters develop a relationship with a student by providing support that feeds bodies, minds and spirits for only $40 per month.

Honduras.
We partner with Carolina Cross Connection who is investing in 10 Children’s Homes in Honduras. Our goals are to understand the needs of 2 of those Children’s Homes and build relationship with the children and the Children’s Home directors.
